How it Works

Order your Big Blue Barrel here.

1. 1. Once your Big Blue Barrel is received, place it in a convenient and secure, non-public location.
2. Open the lid and remove the return paperwork and the In and Out list. These will be attached to the underside of the lid.
3. Attach the lid and ring to the Big Blue Barrel using the chain and hook supplied.
4. Let your users know what can be tossed into the Big Blue Barrel. You can find the In and Out list here.
5. Fill the Big Blue Barrel.
6. When the Big Blue Barrel is filled, put the lid on and attach the ring to hold it in place.
7. Once the ring is on and clamped down, attach the BBB number tag to the Big Blue Barrel ring.
8. Stick the pickup tags to the Big Blue Barrel lid.
9. Notify the Big Blue Barrel staff a pickup is needed.
10. Receive pickup confirmation date and time.
11. Move the Big Blue Barrel to the pickup location.
12. Wait for the pickup.
